Indonesia offers global Sukuk 3.7% to 4.8%

Indonesia’s government offering of five- and 10-year global Islamic bonds with price around 3.7 to 4.8 percent, according to people familiar closed to the deals. Last year, the country issued its fifth offering of global syariah-compliant notes with worth US$2bil of dollar Sukuk due in 2025 with coupon rate of 4.325 percent and received bids totalling US$6.8bil. This year, Finance Minister Bambang Brodjonegoro expects the demand of Indonesia’s global Sukuk at least two times from benchmark offering. He denied to disclosed the numbers. Indonesian bonds have drawn a net $3.1 billion of investment this year.
