PGN’s finance director Riza Pahlevi named as new Timah CEO

JAKARTA (TheInsiderStories) – Finance Director of PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (IDX:PGAS) M. Riza Pahlevi Tabrani has been appointed as President Director of tin producer PT Timah Tbk (IDX: TINS), replacing Sukrisno.

His appointment was approved by shareholders at the company’s annual shareholders meeting (AGM) on Thursday (April 7). Corporate Secretary of Timah Agung Nugroho said the AGM approved changing in the composition of both directors and commissioners board.

Riza Pahlevi was previously Finance Director of PGN. Two other new directors — Emil Ermindra and Muhammad Rizki — were also appointed. Purwijayanto, the existing director, maintains his post.

The shareholders also appointed Bagas Aksa as new independent commissioner and Milawarma also as an independent commissioner. Fahri Ali keeps his post as president commissioner, while Erfi Triassunu, Mochtar Husein and Eko Prasojo keep their post as commissioners.

Riza Pahlevi, born on July 25, 1968 was appointed as Finance Director of PGN on June 20, 2008. Previously, he held a number of posts including acting head for Corporate Finance and Investor Relation Coordinator on February 2008 and finance expert and investor relation staff to the president director of PGN in May 2007.

Riza earned his Geology Technique degree from Trisakti University, Jakarta in 1994 and earned MBA on Finance from Cleveland State University in the US in 1997. In 1997-1999, he held a post as Senior Staff at PT Bhakti Investama Tbk, Senior Manager at PT Bahana Securities in 1999-2001 and Deputy President Director of PT Anugra Capital in 2001-April 2007. In the period of 2006 to April 2007, he was appointed as Vice President Director of PT Alpha Energy. (*)
