Holcim pays dividend, will launch cement mill in Lampung
Publicly listed PT Holcim Indonesia Tbk (IDX: SMCB), also known Holcim, distributer dividend of Rp 15 per share, representing a payout ration of 65% of 2015’s net profit. President Director of Holcim Indonesia, Gary Schutz, said the company has completed the acquisition of PT Lafarge Cement Indonesia (LCI) last February and plans to launch a new cement terminal in Lampung, to serve south Sumatera in 2016. Indonesian Cement Association (ASI) estimates that sales of cement in the country is expected to reach 62 million tons, or up 3.5 percent from last year 59.9 million tons supported by government infrastructure projects. While, total capacity of the national cement factory in 2016 could reached 92.8 million tons from 2015 in the range of 75 million tons with increasing production from existing cement companies such as PT Semen Padang and Holcim. The association also estimates the national cement demand could reach 69 million tons in this year. In December 2015, total national cement sales reached 5.45 million tons, or up 1.5 percent compared to the same period in 2014.
