BI lowers 2016 loan growth target to 7-9 percent

JAKARTA (TheInsiderStories) – Bank Indonesia has lowered its loan growth target for this year to 7-9 percent from 10-11 percent set previously for 2016, adjusting the country’s economic growth projection for this year. The loan growth projection is the lowest for the last six years. BI Governor Agus Martowardojo said BI projects Indonesia’s GDP at 4.9-5.3 percent this year, lower than previous projection at 5.1-5.4 percent (*).
