Indonesia’s economy fell to 5.02% vs 5.18 in Q2

JAKARTA (TheInsiderStories) – Indonesia’s gross domestic product (GDP) fell more-than-expected  to5.02 percent in the third quarter (Q3) of 2016 from last quarter stood at 5.18 percent, the Central Bureau of Statistic (BPS) announced on Monday. Analyst has expected Indonesian GDP to fall to 4.9 percent to 5.2 percent in Q3. 

“By paying attention to what is happening in global economic growth, economic growth has been good,” said Head of the Central Statistics Agency, Kecuk Suhariyanto, in his office.

When viewed from the January to September 2016 period, economic growth reached 5.04 percent. This figure is much better than the Q3 of 2015 amounted to 4.79 percent.
